Local Bakeries Business

Projected Profit:$400-$600 a month

This is an idea for a kid who wants to make some extra money, and has local bakeries in his/her town. Be sure to ask your parents before using this or any other of our ideas.

People love baked goods, but often don't get the time to bake them at their house, or go out to get them. That's where you come in! If you were to go to local bakeries, and offer to sell their goods for them, they will gladly accept your offer. The local bakeries will give you a great deal for these goods, simply because you will be buying a large amount every week. Who knows? Maybe someday you'll be called the 'bakery kid'

Here's what you have to do. Go to local bakeries, and offer to sell their goods. Ask them if you can have a discount, because you'd be promoting their product and getting them more business. Try to get as low as a price as possible, because the lower you buy the more money you make, and the more customers you will receive due to your prices.

Let's say you were to buy bread, cinnimon rolls, or other treats for $3. If you were to go out and sell these treats for a higher price such as $5-$6, that's where the profits come in. Families wouldn't only buy just 1 either, they would buy your delicious treats and possibly a loaf of bread.

If you could sell 50 treats/loafs a week for $5-$6 each (which would be easy to do in your neighborhood), you would make $100-$150 a week. That's $400-$600 a month, just for reselling food that local bakeries would sell to you!

Repairing Bikes

This is an idea for a kid who know or wants to know about repairing bikes. Be sure to ask for your parents permission before using this idea.

People use their bikes a lot, so when they break it can really mess their day up. Some people even rely on their bicycles on transportation, so it's a real pain in the butt when they go out. Repairing bikes can be big business if you know how to do it right.

If repairing bikes is a subject that you don't know much about, look online and read up on it. You'd be amazed about how much information you can get on fixing and repairing bikes. You'll want to go to a search engine such as google and type in something along the lines of "repairing bikes how to".

Once you feel you know enough about repairing bikes, then go to the store and buy some supplies. Some great supplies to buy would be Fix a Flat, flat tire kits, WD-40, tire linings, tire tubes, nuts, bolts, and a few wrenches if your dad or mom doesn't have any.

To start your business repairing bikes, you would first tell your friends. Tell them that you know about repairing bikes, and can do it for a fee. Tell them to tell their friends, and let the information spread by word. You can also tell your neighbors the same thing, and ask them to spread the word too! Making flyers would work well too, but only if they look well done. Ask your mom or dad to help you make them on the computer, and post it at local supermarkets and on poles. It's good to mention that the cost of repairing bikes depends on what's wrong with the bike. The amount of time that you advertise will directly affect how many customers you get.

Once people begin to call, set up a time for them to drop of their bike and begin working on it. The amount you charge on bike repairing depends on how long the bike repair will take, and how much money you have to spend on supplies. It's good to have quite a few flat tire kits, because a lot of the bikes that come in will be simply because of flat tires. If you try hard enough, you can really make bank with this business.
