Balloon Stuffing Business

Projected Profit:$400-$800 per month

This is an idea for a stay at home mom who needs some extra money, and loves spending time on crafts.

Balloon Stuffing is and fun idea that many people will love. Balloon stuffing takes your gift to the next level, and people will really appreciate receiving a balloon stuffed gift.

Balloon stuffing is where a gift such as a teddy bear is placed into a large balloon, and then blown up to a large size. The balloons are clear, so the receiver can clearly see what is inside. They don't have to be clear, however. If you wanted to put a spin on christmas gifts, birthday gifts, etc you can give them a colored balloon that can't be seen through. That way, your gift receiver will have to pop the balloon to see what is inside. Many party-goers will think that balloon stuffing is a great and fun idea, and want to bring one to the next party they go to. Before you know it, your balloon stuffing business will grow to great heights.

What you would have to do is simply buy a balloon stuffing machine, and some balloons to go with it. Usually the balloons will come with the machine, but you need to find a way to get extra supplies. A great way to find the machine and supplies is online. If you were to search Ebay or Amazon, you can find great prices for this wonderful machine.

If you were to charge $5-$10 per balloon stuffing ,and you had 20 a week, you would be making $100-$200 a week, simply by balloon stuffing. Monthly, you would be making a profit of $400-$800, and it wouldn't take too long either!

Nightcare

Projected Profit:$2160-$3000 per month

This is an idea for a mom who needs a little extra cash.

There are a lot of daycares out there, but it's really hard to find nightcare. Since you will generally be home at night, it's a great idea for you to start up a business. If parents work through the night, or have to leave on vacation or a business trip, they can drop their kids off at your house for night care.

You would have to get your house approved for nightcare, but after that the profits are all yours. If you were to provide nightcare for 5 kids a night, and each kid stayed from roughly 8pm to 8 am, you would be making $180-$300 per night. You could provide nightcare for 3 days a week (12 days a month) and be making $2160-$3600 a month minus food costs and supplies costs.

Ironing Business

Projected Profit: $1000 a month

This is an idea for a mom who wants to make extra money to support her family.

An ironing business would be a great idea, simply because people don't like ironing shirts. You need an ironing board, a sprayer, and some starch for an optional embellishment.

You would advertise your ironing business online, at local supermarkets, to your friends, at local colleges, and posting up papers on telephone poles. Leave your name and phone number, as well as your address so people can call you and drop off their clothes.

You can charge a certain amount per ironing, such as $0.50 per shirt or per pants. At that price, people would drop off loads of their clothes, and you would have them out and ready for them by the end of the day, or the next business day.

Let's say that you iron 50 pants and 50 shirts at $0.50 each. After doing this day after day, you would get better and faster at it, and it would take less time. If you did this 20 days a month, you would make $1000 per month just working part time hours for your ironing business.

Making Money as an Advertiser

Projected Profit: Up to $2000/month

This is an idea for a mom who wants to possibly make a full income driving a vehicle around

Businesses are always looking for different ways to advertise. Some use billboards, some use newspapers and other texts, and some use the internet. However, the downside to all of these methods are that they aren't mobile. If you were to wrap your car in a business advertisement, the company would pay you big bucks just to drive.

To get started, you must go around to local businesses and offer to advertise using your vehicle. Explain to them the benefits of mobility advertising, and suggest an estimated payment for the services. For wealthy businesses doing well, you can ask for higher amounts such as $2000 a month.

If you can't find local businesses that will accept your offer, do some internet advertising. Visit business forums, marketing forums, and social networking sites. These are surely great sites to do your own advertising. They are free, and will get you great amounts of business.

Once you find a company willing to go through with the deal, then go to a shop who will wrap your car. If the company does not provide a design to put on the car, then have the wrapping company design one and put it on. Send the costs directly to the company you're advertising, and start your driving.

The company will want you to drive around a lot, and even might require you to sign a contract. Since the company will be paying for the fuel costs, you should probably drive around quite a bit. Go to local stores such as WalMart, and drive on the freeway often. City driving also does great, and be sure to park your vehicle in populous places.

Sewing Old to Make New

This is an idea for a stay-at-home mom who is skilled at sewing and has quite a bit of old fabric laying around.

Sewing old fabric to make something new can be a very inexpensive and profitable venture. By sewing old fabrics, you are dramatically cutting the cost of materials needed, and maximizing your profits. Plus, vintage pants, quilts, shirts, hats, shoes, etc are back in style. You don't have to worry about your projects not being able to sell.

Because you are sewing old, you can pick up your fabrics from yard sales, second-hand thift stores, and swap meets.

Great Vintage Sewing Ideas

  • Sewing old flowers on alligator clips to be placed on headbands and beanies for babies
  • Sewing old fabric to jeans so they have the 'patched-up' look
  • Sewing old materials to make a large quilt as a gift.
  • Sewing old fleece fabric to make booties for kids
  • Sewing old materials to make boots for adults
  • Sewing old wool to make warm winter sweaters or hats.
  • Sewing old cotton to make a comfortable scarf.
  • Sewing old leather to make vintage coats, pants, gloves, etc

As vintage is popular right now, you can sale these items almost anywhere. A great place to list them is online at sites such as Ebay, or Amazon.

Making Money Selling Online

This is idea for the stay-at-home mom who has a little extra time on her hands.

The internet selling industry is big. Many people make a great living off of it, and it's a wonderful way to make an income. So often it's hard to sell things locally, so people advertise their items online and customers from around the world buy.

The key to making money online is selling your item at a higher price than you bought it for. If you buy something for dirt cheap and sell it at a fair price, the profit you make from the sell could be enormous.

But the big question is: 'Where can I buy something for cheap, and sell it for more?'. It's simple! Go to thrift stores, yard sales, police auctions, newspaper ads, store sales, out of business blowouts, etc. One of the best places to buy things for cheap is a storage unit auction. If somebody rents the storage unit and fails to pay, then their possessions get sold at auctions to get the money back. Most everything sold is extraordinarily inexpensive.

Another awesome place to buy is online. You can find good deals for anything online. A lot of internet sellers buy online, then sell online for a higher price. Often sellers will ask for a low price because they need the money, and you can buy it at an insanely low price.

Where are you going to sell the product though? There's many websites on the internet that allow you to sell your product online. The most popular is Ebay (http://www.ebay.com). For quick payment you set up a Paypal account and people can effortlessly pay you online with their credit or debit card.

A few other great websites are Amazon (http://www.amazon.com) and Craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org).

Selling online can take a lot of work, but the effort you put into it will determine the amount you earn!

Bed and Breakfast

Projected Profit:$1000-$4000/month

This is for the stay-at home mom living near a tourist attraction, and has a spare unused bedroom in the house.

Bed and Breakfast's are convinient in tourist towns, especially when all the hotels are booked. People are looking for a place to stay, and you're the one to provide it for them. The idea is simple: Open a room in your house to tourists looking for a place to stay. There's big money involved in this, because most likely the hotels are booked and you can charge a high price for your services.

Be sure to provide them with their own bathroom to wash up in, towels, soap, and of course breakfast in the morning. Provide great service, offering to carry their bags to their room, and telling them to call you if they need anything, and make a delicious breakfast in the morning. It may sound tedious, but when you make your customer feel at home, your bed and breakfast will become popular.

You're going to need to wash the sheets after every guest, and clean up after they have left. Make sure you put signs all through town advertising your bed and breakfast, and giving a phone number to call you. If a tourist sees this advertisement, they will call you!

Let's say that you took in 10 tourists a month. You would charge them $100-$400 for the night (which is reasonable for what you're offering). The profit behind that would be $1000-$4000 a month, just for taking in people a few times a month. It's a great way to make an income, and you may even be able to live off that!
