If you live in a small town and the nearest store is at least 50-100 miles out of the way, then you might want to consider re-selling goods that you purchased in the big city. You can start small, by only picking up goods for a few people.

You can post a list in a public area, where people can write their suggestions on what they want then you can pick up these goods for people. If your spouse works farther away, then he could pick up the goods daily on his way home and it would save you gas money.

Once you get the goods, then sell them for a higher price (20 percent to 50 percent more), and you would make all the profits. If you make enough money from this business, you could even rent out a building and sell from there!
