Making Money as a pet caretaker helping animals

Projected Profit: $600 a month

This is an idea for a kid who likes helping animals and wants to make some extra money. Be sure to ask your parents before starting this or any other ideas.

Many people out there love helping animals. It's a fun and rewarding job that you can make a lot of money from if you do it right. What you have to do is go around your neighborhood, and tell your neighbors you can watch their animals if they go on vacation, or leave somewhere. Be sure to mention you love helping animals, and that you are very responsible.

Hand out flyers, and make sure you advertise well. Tell your friends to spread the word, and hand out business cards to people you know. On these business cards, write a catchy phrase that goes with your business such as, "helping animals while watching them". Your phrase should catch the customers eyes, and get them to trust you. Put your phone number on the card, and watch as the customers roll in.

Once the customers call, tell them you charge them $1 an hour. That adds up to $24 a day, but don't mention that little secret to your customers, as they may think the price is too steep. Animal-proof your house, not letting any of the animals wander outside without a leash. Be sure to take good care of the animals, follow feeding schedules, and take the animals on walks.

Helping animals cope with their owners leaving can be the tough part. Often animals can become depressed, and not want to do anything. Help the animals by playing with them, and showing them that you can make this fun for them!

If you were to watch only 5 animals for only 5 days, you would make $600 a month.
