Making Money with an Indoor Surf and Skate Entertainment Plaza

Projected Profit: $80,000 per week (surf machines 50% capacity) plus food sales, shop rentals, skate park, fish pond, and skate shop profits.

This is for an entrepreneur who wants a big return for a big investment.

Suggested items

  • 2-Double Rider Surf Machines (2 riders per machine) [4000 square ft]
  • Indoor Skate Park next to the surf machines [4000 square ft]
  • Store-front boardwalk that can handle ten to twenty 10x10 bamboo hut stores. Those stores can be rented out to local vendors that sell clothes, sunglasses, shoes, food, skateboards, surf boards, souvenirs, etc.
  • Employees who can teach others how to skate

other suggestions

  • By the surf machines and skate park, set up a bistro to sell food.
  • Throughout the indoor park, put tables with bamboo umbrellas.
  • Build a 10x20 pond with sand at the bottom. Fill with water, and put fish, turtles, and frogs that kids can catch for a small price.
  • Fill the Whole park with sand, and fake palm trees (that look real). Put hammocks between some of the trees so people can lounge (hammocks will be considered the benches of the park).
  • Daily surf lessons and wake board lessons (weld a bar in front of the machine).
  • Provide a big anchor skate shop that provides 'try before you buy' demo boards.
  • Beach Volleyball on the sand.
  • Movie at the Beach.

1 surf machine at full capacity can bring in $80,000 a week. At 50% capacity, both machines will bring in $80000 a week. That doesn't include the bistro, the bamboo shopts, the skate park, and the fish pond.

As for the how to skate and how to surf lessons, you can either set up specific days (see example below), or provide how to skate and how to surf lessons every day. How to skate lessons are going to be the most popular, because more people want to learn how to skate depending on where you are. Also, depending on your employee's time allocation, you can also set up how to skate and how to surf private lessons.

Monday: How to Skate

Tuesday: How to Surf and How to Skate

Wednesday: Volleyball Lessons at Volleyball Court and How To Skate

Thursday: How to Surf or How to Skate

Friday: How to Skate and How to Boogie Board

Saturday: How to Skate and How to Wake Board (Surf Machine)

Sunday: Open Buffet and Lessons on How to Skate

You can also sell videos on how to skate at your skate shop so people can get comfortable before their lessons.

Overall investment: Research depending upon location
