Old Fashion Root Beer Float Stand

Projected Profit: $4000-$6000 (minus money spent on ingredients)

This is recommended for the beginning entrepreneur.

This is a carnival/fair/fundrasing event that can make quite a bit of money. You would need an easy-up canopy, deep freezer, 5 gallon drink cooler, old wooden barrel to place over cooler so it looks old-fashioned, a couple of signs that say something along the lines of "old fashion root beer floats", and 24 oz cups.

Before the carnival starts, prepare for customers by putting ice cream in the cups with a lid so that you only have to put rootbeer in the cups. Home-made rootbeer is recommended (recipe:http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Homemade-Root-Beer/Detail.aspx

The price for an easy-up canopy is usually $180, a deep freezer is about $300, and eating utinsils and cups depend on the local charge. You can find a good priced 5 gallon drink cooler for $20. Ingredients including ice cream and homemade rootbeer would depend upon local vendors.

You can sell the 24 oz. root beer float for $4-$6 each. If you sold 1000 floats, you would get $4000-$6000 dollars per event minus how much you spent on ingredients.
